As most of us know, the Lord of the Rings trilogy is based on mythology, philology and Christianity. The characters are all closely based and affected by literature (during his time, like elves, dwarves, trolls, wolves, wizards, dragons and more. However, there are also differences, as every piece of literature is always different, and it is only natural that JRR Tolkein has added his own twist to it.
